Campus Life

We believe that the engagement in and commitment to education, activities and student life helps to achieve our goal of providing students with quality opportunities and experiences to develop and display Christ-like attitudes and actions during participation.

Liberty Christian School prepares our students for the future by educating the whole child: spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.

Nurturing the Soul

LCS has a weekly, age-appropriate chapel for all students. In the lower grades, students learn God’s story of the Bible and practical illustrations of applying it every day. In the secondary grades, worship songs are student-led and local youth ministers share the truth of God’s word, encouraging each student in their relationship with Christ.

The middle school and the high school begin each year with a spiritual retreat to dive deeper into their relationship with God and enjoy His creation in an outdoor setting.

A highlight of the senior year is an opportunity to go on a missions’ trip just prior to graduation. In past years, the students have served at the Dream Center in Orlando and Los Angeles. We are now ministering closer to home with ministry opportunities in the Portland area.

Developing the Mind

Liberty Christian School believes each student is a unique reflection of God’s creative nature and that education is based on a God-centered view of truth and man with the Bible as central to the education process. Our responsibility as educators is to train them in foundational knowledge and academic competence: Math, Language Arts, History, Science, and Bible are core subject areas that each child learns; in addition, many enrichment, exploratory and elective classes are interwoven throughout the grades to provide a well-balanced learning experience for each student. High school students also have the opportunity to shadow and intern a variety of vocations as they discover possible career or ministry paths.

Creating Lifelong Friendships

Our smaller class sizes and K4 through high school model creates a richer, more personalized education for our students. The friends they make at Liberty will be friends for life!

Growing Healthy Bodies

At Liberty, we believe nourishing the body is just as important as developing the mind. That’s why we incorporate Physical Education (P.E.) classes into our curriculum. Each student will have the opportunity to participate in group sports, outdoor activities, games, and more!

Campus Life

Liberty Christian School Core Values are summed up in the words Grow, Character, Passion, and Impact. These core values are at the heart of everything we do, and are incorporated into the activities we offer our students.

Sports at Liberty

We believe that sports are less about competition, and more an opportunity to educate our students about becoming great young men and women by demonstrating teamwork, sportsmanship and character. Our programs, which include Volleyball, Football, Baseball and Basketball, feature coaching staffs focused on inspiring our student athletes to work together while building and maintaining the utmost integrity.

Student Activities at Liberty

A good education goes beyond the classroom. That’s why we’ve cultivated a range of clubs and extracurricular activites for each student to explore their interests, grow their passions, and get involved with their community.

Some of what we offer:

  • Art Club
  • Chess Club
  • Drama Production
  • Key Club
  • Sports Clubs
  • Community Service
  • Spelling Bee
  • Speech Meet
  • Engineering Competitions
  • …and more!

Going to Liberty means more than just getting an education. We give our students an opportunity to build their school community through fellowship outside of the classroom.

Faith through Fellowship

Having a supportive community to help our students grow in their faith is a top priority. We encourage fellowship development through extracurricular activities like Homecoming, Sadies, Prom, school sporting games, and more for the high school students, and school music programs, field trips, and other activities for our elementary and middle school students. With all we have in store, your student will leave Liberty fulfilled, with a lifetime of memories.
